Self-Tracking Project Proposal

Day to Day
Self-Tracking Project

For my self-tracking project, I have decided to keep track of my time and what I listen to. The data points I will be using will be sleep, time spent on campus, and the amount of time I listen to podcasts.

The ways I will be tracking these points will be through the use of my digital watch and an app. I will use the watch to help keep track of my sleep specifically as it will tell me the exact time and efficiency of my sleep.
The app I am using is one of the many we went over in class.

I am using the Ask Me Every app (https://www.askmeevery.com/). The app works fine but I can't have it send questions through text unless I paid money, is probably not expensive but it sending it through email is fine for now. The other 2 data points I am able to track myself. I enter all 3 data points in using the app I mentioned.

I believe the correlation I will see at the end of this project will be the more time I spend on campus the more I listen to podcast. I feel that I tend to listen to podcasts moreover music when I am working on stuff. I use adobe tools a lot for another class so I find myself staying on campus longer. I used the sleep data point because I think that is a good place to start. Sleep affects my day and probably most other people in a multitude of ways. Another correlation that may occur within my data points is between podcasts and sleep as I will sometimes listen to them while falling asleep. At the end of the self-tracking period, I will use the data to make some graphs in the chart. I will probably use the app for this and another source to do this.

Update 9/24/2019
I will be adding 1 more data point to my project, I know it is in the middle of the project but It is something easy to track, and I think it affects my other data point significantly. I am going to also keep track of how many energy drinks I have had. I believe this will have a strong correlation with my sleep habits and I will be able to compare it to the days I did not have one. Thinking of ways to present the data I may use Canva to make an infographic as I have been using the program recently.
